  • iPhone Augmented Reality

I’m not the only one thinking out loud about this: Link – Fast Company article

  • Augmented Reality

With the announcement of the iPhone 3GS on Monday it appeared to have only incremental updates. For me, it has finally reached the point where I could use it as my phone (a term that doesn’t just refer to a device for calling people any more). It offers me a lot more than previous technology,…

  • Homage

I’m paying homage to Andrew Coogan by trying to include Homer Simpson images in my next lecture about the development of the nervous system. I must ask FOX for permission… Andrew used to give the neuro lectures in Swansea, and rumour was that he included an image of Homer Simpson in every lecture.

  • Working!

Working!, originally uploaded by samwebster. My job is fun. I was walking this skeleton around the School of Medicine. No-one else wanted to take the lift with him.

  • Student tracker

A Tokyo University have given out iPhones to staff & students to encourage use of elearning materials (great idea). If any of you subscribe to my online calendars to synchronise with your own (e.g. anatomy, DGR), note that I’m just about to move them to MobileMe. You can subscribe to the calendars from the links at the bottom right of the medicine page of this website.

  • Swansea – Cardiff commute

Now this is serious bike commuting: Tredz Talk: Cycling to work, Tredz style (43 miles from Swansea to Cardiff, and then back again).

DSC_0024, originally uploaded by samwebster. I love this. Walking this weekend I tried to teach Jack (Indiana Jones) some map reading skills. He wasn’t convinced that I had any idea of where we were or what we were doing.
