A Quiet Morning
I’m not teaching this morning. It feels strange. I’ve been teaching anatomy on Monday mornings for a couple of months now, and I feel a bit left out this morning. I’m quite happy to have a little less to do, but I’m definately missing it. This must mean that I enjoy teaching, right? That’s good…

Grumpy
I can be a right grumpy bugger sometimes. Anyway, to continue the saga of my gaming PC, the parts finally arrived to finish rebuilding it yesterday (after a brief excursion to Chester – thanks Amtrak!) But I seem to have made a mis-diagnosis. The new graphics card exhibits the same symptoms as the old. I…

Futility
I am a salmon. I am swimming against the current, going nowhere, fighting a path upstream to some unknowable goal, for some intangible reason. At the moment I am stuck beneath a weir; some man-made bullshit designed to keep my nose pressed down against the slimy bottom of the river. I can’t find a way…
